Customs Single Window (OFOQ)
In line with the Economic Vision 2030 of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Customs Affairs launched the Ofoq Program in 2011 which objective is to cover all customs border points in the Kingdom, in addition to all import/export processes in 2013 at a rate of 500 customs declarations at customs points.
By virtue of the Ofoq Program, Customs Affairs was able to pool a number of regulatory entities within a unified commercial window of trade to facilitate operations and the movement of goods. The system is characterized by a number of comprehensive units that contribute to facilitating its utilization amongst the competent segments, namely: customs officers, supervisors, customs clearing brokers, regulatory entities, merchants and courier firms.
